The CARAS Mobile App
The CARAS Mobile App acts as a crucial link between mobile carers and care providers.
The app works on Android and IOS smartphones and provides care workers with the essential information that they need whilst out in the field.
It works seamlessly with the main CARAS system and allows carers to access crucial details that they need to support each patient, communicate with head office and accurately record events and developments in real time as they occur. Workers also benefit from two-way communication and lone worker protection.
Work Schedules and Client Information
Work schedules are sent in real-time directly to staff devices and include full information on the recipient including their address, synopsis of care provision and activity details.
This ensures that staff have instant access to all of the information that they need to provide the best care services possible.
CARAS stores real-time attendance information using GPS and Sat Nav software, which is returned to the central management system to provide a live overview. This also completes timesheets for approval prior to generation of invoices and processing of payroll. These functions are really simple for team members to use and seamlessly automate important aspects of the staff management process.
In addition to GPS and distance location tracking, the option to use a QR code system linked to each service users’ care plan also allows staff to show proof of visit linked to the time of attendance.
Live Client Detail Updates
Staff can easily communicate with their base using a built-in function within the app. This ensures that all parties are kept updated whilst carers are on visits and that there is always a strong line of communication back to HQ.
By having a messaging function integrated into the app, communication is kept in one place and all messages will be kept on record for future reporting and reference.
Lone Worker Protection
Care providers hold a duty-of-care to protect the staff that they are sending out. The CARAS mobile app includes numerous features to support this - encompassing lone worker protection. Our app works to keep head office informed in real time during a visit.
In a crisis or emergency situation, staff can quickly use the lone worker protection function of the app to send an SOS message to a dedicated on-call manager who will be able to act straight away. In addition to this, managers are able to check the location of staff members in real-time as well as keeping an overview of logged arrival times and activities throughout the day.
Having such a solid lone worker protection system satisfies lone worker protection regulations and allows care providers to function with the peace of mind that their workers are protected in case of an emergency.
